Dear Diary,
Nobody could make sense of the one thing the robbers left. Except for me. The thing they left was a book about dogs. That could mean that the culprit (or culprits) don't like dogs, so they didn't take the book about it. Only two people that I know don't like dogs. My old friend Shelly and her friend Jared. They could be the culprits, but I can't accuse them. I need more evidence. Maybe I will pay a surprise visit to Shelly and Jared tomorrow. I'll decide then. Goodnight.

I've decided that I will go pay a surprise visit to Shelly and Jared's apartment today. Hopefully I can find one of the things that I'm missing. Then I'll have proof that they did it. Or maybe I won't find anything. There is the possibility that the robbers accidentally dropped the book. But, I'll find out. Wish me luck!
